Mason & McLean also used for Sholing.

The Hawks’ fourth cup encounter with Sholing in three seasons ended in a straight 3-0 victory on Tuesday night, breaking a run of unbeaten home games for the Boatmen that extended back into last season.

Taking revenge for last season’s 3-1 defeat in the quarter-final , the Hawks ensured their place in this year’s last eight teams with a competent display at the Silverlake Arena.

Nic Ciardini struck first after just fifteen minutes when he capitalised on the rebound from Dennis Oli’s initial shot, and further goals followed late in the second half from Alex Przespolewski and Scott Jones.

The Hawks now take their place in Saturday’s quarter-final draw where they will find out whether they face Gosport, Portchester, Farnborough, AFC Bournemouth, Whitchurch, Petersfield or Basingstoke next.
