The Hawks secured an impressive 1-0 win over play-off hopefuls Ebbsfleet United at Westleigh Park on Monday night, ending an eight match unbeaten run for the Kent visitors that stretched back into January.

The goal came in the 76th minute when substitute Alex Przespolewski, on the pitch for just two minutes, slid the ball past Preston Edwards when set up by Pedro Monteiro. The goal is the ninth this season for Przespolewski, who has proved himself something of a revelation on the subs bench.

The win puts the Hawks ninth in the table, now just six points behind the play-off pack, but with a further game to play this week on Thursday night against Dover the all-important fifth spot could be even closer by the weekend.
