The Hawks slipped to 15th in the table after losing 2-1 to Tonbridge Angels at Westleigh Park yesterday afternoon. The home side started brightly, forcing several saves from former Hawk Clark Masters in the first few minutes, but it was the visitors who took the lead in the 9th when Nathan Green’s long run on the wing resulted in a ball through the box that was turned home by Luke Blewden.

Sahr Kabba levelled the score two minutes into the second half when he drove a shot past Masters, and the Hawks continued to spend the half chipping away at the tightly packed Angels defence. Tonbridge’s winner though came in unlikely circumstances on the edge of injury time when Scott Bevan looked to have another shot from Ryan Watts’ covered, but the ball deflected wildly off defender Ed Harris and diverted past the Hawks’ keeper.
