The Hawks beat south coast neighbours Bognor Regis Town 5-2 on Saturday at Nyewood Lane. Former Hawk Harvey Whyte opened the scoring for the Rocks after 21 minutes, but by half time Ollie Palmer had levelled the score, finished past stand-in keeper Charlie Searle after the youthful academy graduate beat away a shot from Scott Jones.

Five minutes into the second half Christian Nanetti put the Hawks ahead when he connected with a cross from Jesse Kewley-Graham, the latter having returned to the Hawks in the week for a second tenure on loan from Wycombe Wanderers.

Searle’s exercise in understanding his own team’s front line continued in the 72nd minute when Sahr Kabba added the side’s third goal, before the Rocks pulled one back through substitute Ollie Pearce. Palmer then made it 4-2, streaking away from his marker to score what would be his final goal for the Hawks before moving to Mansfield Town in the week. Pedro Monteiro completed the score line with a close finish on the edge of injury time.
