The Hawks came away from the Crabble with a point on Saturday after playing out a 0-0 stalemate with Dover Athletic.

The Whites hold a unique position in the league in that they have scored fewer goals than any other side except Gosport at the bottom, but at the same time have conceded fewer than any other side except Eastleigh at the top. Despite this, their encounter with the Hawks became only their first goalless match this season.

Both keepers were kept busy throughout the 90 minutes, and the Hawks were made to work for the final half hour after Ryan Woodford was sent off for a second yellow card.

The point means the Hawks rise one place in the table to 10th, but wins for Ebbsfleet, Bishop’s Storford and Weston mean the gap between them and the playoffs stretches from two to four points.
