|Warren joined the Hawks from Conference side Woking in August 2002 and brought with him a rich history in Non League Football. Having started life at Leicester City he played for Stourbridge, VS Rugby and Stafford Rangers before joining Tamworth from Sutton Coldfield in November 1997. During three and a half seasons at the Lamb he scored 68 goals in approaching 150 appearances, including one against the Hawks in their first game in the Southern League Premier Division in 1999.
Fondly remembered by Tamworth supporters for his goals in their FA Cup first round and replay games against Bury in 1999, his personal life took him to London and Woking FC for the 2001/02 season. Scoring on his debut for the Cards he found himself eventually sidelined by the dominating strike partnership of Chris Sharpling and Warren Patmore. Warren played a single season for the Hawks, only really showing his true talent in the final few games of the season. He left for Dulwich Halmet in August 2003 when it became apparent new arrivals David Town and Chukki Eribenne would place him well down the pecking order for selection.
