Daniel Blanchett

(Left Defence)
Born 1987
Danny’s career has seen him play everywhere from the Southern League Premier to National League One, before he joining the Hawks on contract terms in June 2013.

He started life as a youth player at Queens Park Rangers before moving on to Isthmian League sides Northwood, Hendon and Harrow Borough. From there in 2006 he joined Cambridge City, and two of his 33 appearances there came against the Hawks in the Conference South.

Bigger things awaited however, and Danny joined Peterborough United in 2006 for a four season run that saw him make appearances in League Two and then League One as the Posh rose up the ranks. While at Peterborough he also made appearances on loan at Hereford United and AFC Wimbledon.

For the 2010/11 season Danny joined Crewe Alexandra in League Two and played 39 games, following that with a year at Burton Albion and another at York City at the same level. He finished the 2012/13 season playing 17 games back at Cambridge City in the Southern Premier.

In his first season with the Hawks Danny quickly became a regular in defence, clocking up 47 appearances in all. Last season he made fewer starting appearances, but increased his overall total to 76.
