Steve Johnson

Steve holds the record for the Royal Navy Representative Side’s most number of caps, standing at 233 appearances over a 23 year career. He has also had tenures with Worthing, Basingstoke and played 150 games for Fareham Town during the side’s Southern League days.

More recently, he has spent the last five years working for the FA as a Football Development Officer and gained a UEFA A coaching badge in 2003. For the last two years he has been a lead tutor for the FA and in 2007 and 2008 delivered International Coaching courses in Fiji; educating new coaches as well as assisting the Fiji FA set up a coaching framework.

During the 2007/08 season he held the position of assistant manager at Dorchester Town, assisting Mick Jenkins and Shaun Brookes respectively, and had prior experience with the Hawks as a coach during the Daish/Jenkins era, before being appointed assistant manager at the start of the 2008/09 season.
