Neil Champion

(Right Midfield)
Born 1975
Neil signed from Ryman League Aldershot Town in August 2000, where he made 111 appearances in three seasons. He started as an apprentice at Bournemouth and has also played for Havant Town and Fareham Town. A positive asset to the team, he has kept a regular starting place in an increasingly contested midfield line up, despite sporadic injury problems.

Another of the Hawks old guard, Neil celebrated his 100th league appearance on the final day of the 2002/03 campaign and capped his third season with the Hawks by breaking his scoring duck in the 3-3 draw with promoted Tamworth. Now entering his seventh season with the Hawks, Neil is the longest serving player in the side and with 223 appearances under his belt is chasing James Taylorís record of 295.

In October 2006 Neil signed for Winchester City in pursuit of regular football.
