|Peter started life as a trainee at Premiership side Wimbledon in 1992, making 88 appearances in all competitions before moving to Oxford United in 1999. After 48 appearances with the Us over the following two seasons he moved to Kettering Town in August 2001 to take part in the side’s successful bid to bounce back into the Conference. Leaving the Poppies at the end of that season he then spent two years with Crawley Town, again playing a big part in the Reds’ successful push for the Conference in 2004, before joining Sutton United.
Peter signed with the Hawks in February 2005 to help the side’s push for Conference survival and quickly installed himself as a midfield regular, making 13 appearances before the end of the season.
He took an about turn though during the summer of 2005 and failed to re-appear for training in July. Although a contracted player he refused to return to the Hawks and eventually departed to sign for Carshalton Athletic.
