Sam Pearce

Born 1987
Sam is a graduate of the original Hawks youth system, playing in all three of the successful side’s seasons between 2002 and 2005, the last as captain. Moving on to the first team via the reserves, he eventually made 17 appearances over two seasons from 2004/05, before being put out on loan during 2006/07 to gain experience.

His astonishing ability to score from free kicks earned him an impressive reputation, upheld when in September 2004 he fired home a hat-trick from dead balls against Walton Casuals in the Suburban League.

He eventually left the Hawks to join Fleet Town, and spent time out of football playing Cricket in South Africa before resurfacing at Bognor Regis Town during 2008/09. He impressed enough to become the Rocks’ Captain before moving to Blue Square Premier side Salisbury City at the end of March 2009, and then returned to the Hawks during summer 2009. During this second tenure with the Hawks he has so far made 107 appearances over the last three seasons.

On loan November-January with Gosport Borough, recalled to bolster the defence and then joined Gosport permanently in June 2013.
