Tom Jordan

(Central Defence)
Born 1981
Tom is a 6’5" centre back signed by the Hawks five days before the start of the 2004/05 season. In three remarkable years with the side he has racked up 146 appearances and installed himself as the core of the Hawks defence - as well as knocking in 14 goals. During the 2005/06 season he assumed the role of club captain, cementing his reputation as an essential member of the team.

The 23 year old started his career in Bristol City’s youth side, where he spent 13 months from August 2001. From there he moved to Southend United for the 2002/03 season, and then onto Tamworth where he made 19 league appearances from August 2003 onwards, scoring twice during the Lambs’ FA Cup clashes with Telford United. He signed for fellow Conference National side Forest Green Rovers after a month’s loan in March 2004. Also that year he started in the England Semi Pro side that drew 2-2 with Belgium in November 2004.

After a long and protracted negotiation with Eastleigh, Tom moved to join former Hawks boss Ian Baird in June 2008.
