James Taylor

(Forward)
Born 1974
Having made his 250th competitive appearance for the Hawks at the close of the 2003/04 season, James is the longest standing member of the side and one of the most loved among fans. "Super Jim" signed from Bashley in August 1999, arriving in the nick of time to play the Hawks' first ever match in the Southern League Premier Division. His clinical finishing saw him top the Southern Division scoring chart for the 1998/99 season, and having twice come runner up to the Golden Boot in the Premier he finally lifted the title with 22 goals in 2003. Despite interest from several other local sides, James signed his third contract with the Hawks in April 2004.

His abilities have earned him caps not only for the Southern League Representative team, but also four for the England Non-League team.
