Palmer salvages draw in season opener

 Ollie Palmer’s 94th minute goal earned the Hawks a point against Chelmsford City on their first outing in the Blue Square South under Stuart Ritchie.
After weathering some heavy pressure from the home side in the first half the Clarets looked set to claim a 1-0 win when former Hawk Jamie Slabber turned the ball home on the line in the 47th minute.
But the Hawks struck back with virtually the last kick of the game when predatory striker Palmer brought down a long ball on the edge of the City box and buried a low shot through keeper Stuart Searle’s legs.
