Hawks dominate but fall behind twice

Despite dominating vast stretches of the game, the Hawks were forced to come from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw against relegation threatened Hampton and Richmond Borough at Westleigh park this afternoon.
The hosts fell behind after just two minutes when Dave Tarpey’s strike put the Beavers ahead, and were then left to rue their chances when Steve Ramsey fired a penalty onto the bar six minutes later.
But Ramsey made amends for his miss in the 35th minute when he levelled the score, before Hampton retook the lead in the 72nd minute through a Tobi Alabi header. The lead lasted a scant four minutes however, before Chris Holland head home a Ramsey corner at the other end for the Hawks’ second equaliser.
