Worcester City took the Hawks to the wire in a dramatic encounter at Westleigh Park that saw Manny Williams find the net three times for the Hawks to win 3-2.
Williams put the hosts on the road to their third consecutive win from the penalty spot after 30 minutes, and then doubled the lead seven minutes after the break when he forced the ball past keeper Jake Meredith on the Worcester line.
Mark Clyde struck back for the visitors in the 67th minute with a wonderful twisting volley from 18 yards, but Williams topped it 13 minutes later when he connected with Joe Tabiri’s brilliant forward ball to send it on past Meredith.
Alfie Carter then snuck a header past Aaron Howe in the 89th minute, and the Hawks keeper preserved the home win in injury time when he pushed Gary Walker’s last ditch effort over the bar.
