Braintree off

Today’s game against Braintree has fallen foul of a 9am pitch inspection. Yesterday’s torrential rain, which left some local roads under water, left little hope that the ground would drain in time.

The groundsmen will however be working on the one or two problem spots on the surface that have caused the postponement today to ensure the best possible chance of Monday night’s game against Bromley going ahead, and with no further heavy rain forecast for the vicinity before then, it seems hopeful that it will.
