Richard Pacquette has returned from his month's loan to Blue Square Premier promotion chasers Histon.

Pacquette, the Magpies top scorer this season, is expected to feature in the squad for this afternoon's Blue Square South match at Dorchester.
It is not known whether Pacquette's former Havant strike partner Rocky Baptiste will also be making the trip to Dorset. Baptiste has been unavailable recently due to personal reasons.

Two more players have left York Road this week.

Firstly Tyron Smith asked to be released from his contract prior to the defeat against Basingstoke. Smith joined the Magpies from the Hampshire club in the summer.
John Stevenson has also been released. The former Leicester striker had joined the Magpies on trial basis a month ago, and scored his only goal for United in his final game on Monday night.

A. two players who left here wanting huge salary increases.
B. a full back
C. a forward,who with the the greatest respect has scored once in a month at Maidenhead?

we'll all know soon enough whether we've signed anyone or not.

Thanks for that Ketchup. I have to say they are questions i've asked myself recently. You ridicule Stevenson only scoring 1 goal in a month long trial, but they are currently 6th way ahead of us and we need some much injected blood and he could do a job for us. Afterall, Boothy only scored 4 goals but Tonbridge are happy to take him and he will get goals for them. We are not better than Maidenhead even if we think we are - they beat Dorchester 3-0 today at Dorchester and we lost to them the other day. Pacquette never likely to return to us - he's more ambitious than that - maybe he knew where we'd end up and besides he scored twice to take his tally to 17 this season. Can't see Baptiste returning in all honesty, money and he's 37! Could he help, would he help - i'm not convinced so. Not sure we need another right back either -considering Jay Smith returning today, but stranger things have happened before at Westleigh Park which leaves another couple of strikers in Jon Stevenson and Lee Newman - how about signing them both. Better than the rumours of Gary Hart returning to the Hawks. Sick and tired of all the Brighton flops coming to improve their fitness at our expense!!! All i know is drastic action is needed very very quickly.
