Well that was disappointing,,,,,

Following the excellent performance Wednesday night, we had a different kettle of fish yesterday. Slough obviously came with a strict game plan and basically did a job on us. Apart from the last 15 or so minutes when some pressure was exerted, we generally huffed and puffed without really getting anywhere. Robbo had an early chance, but after that very little threatening intent on our part. They score from an unchallenged header from a corner and then the Ref gives a pen for them when he couldn't have been at all sure it was a foul. Talking about the Ref, he had an absolute shocker, from very early on you just knew there was a red card waiting to happen, he was blowing up for virtually every physical challenge and dishing out Yellows like they had gone out of fashion.

Don't believe for one minute Tommy's red was at all justified, he's sprinting to reach a through ball, the keeper's rushed out to smother at his feet, minimal contact was made, but of course the keeper's reaction was way over the top, as you would expect in this day and age, and the muppet in black has immediately fallen for it.

Jake has pulled a goal back early in added time soon after had an absolute thunderbolt miraculously blocked on the line by a defender which I dont think he knew anything about. Not sure we would have deserved a point if that had gone in however, on balance Slough just about deserved to win, and we now face a tough game on Tuesday against Hungerford who appear not to be the easy pickings they were 2 or 3 seasons ago.

We were outworked. Which is probably understandable, slough deserved the win but, and it’s a big but that referee performance was the worst I have ever seen. Literally embarrassed for the lad, any contact was immediately a foul, he looked totally out of his depth. Would we have won with a different ref? Maybe not but it was never a penalty or a sending off.

The lads did better in the second half, our new goalkeeper didn’t have a shot to save, let’s hope out injures aren’t too bad and we can regroup for Tuesday, it won’t be easy that’s for sure

Very disappointing. I think inconsistent would pretty much sum up Doswells years in charge so far. Some games we look the best in the league, some games we barely look interested.

The worrying sign regarding this, is the first half was almost a carbon copy of the Oxford City game where they totally outplayed us first 45 mins.

Yes the ref was shocking and Wrights red was never a red but we cannot keep affording teams 2 goals in quick succession. The league is too good for that. We're 10 points behind Dartford at the moment and it's coming up to the Xmas period where the league will look a-lot clearer.

Onto Hungerford which is a awkward place to go and who are on decent form too.

How did WILL MANNION do between the sticks on his debut? He was Pafos FC back up keeper last season and didn't get any opportunity here really after signing from Hull City. I liked him, i liked his career and thought he might have had a couple of games but our keeper here isn't bad Artur Rudko (Ukranian) and signed from Dynamo Kiev a couple of years ago now. All the best to Will and on paper he's a great addition to the squad whilst Worner is injured.
