Billericay

What a fantastic performance, hard work, little bit of skill and a desire to win from every player. a really professional performance actually from every player who all did the job asked of them. The Billericay fans i spoke to all wished us well and seemed a decent bunch, they have a lovely mural on the back on the main stand of the former owner naked in bed with his mrs.... he had a dream! its truly a thing of great beauty!!
We set up in 3-5-2 formation, Bedse Gomis being the midfielder closest to Jonah up front, He actually had a great hour, fitness levels are improving and he put in a really good shift, the highlight was Jonah's goal, a good run from Junior cutting in from the left into Jonah who controlled the ball and curled a beauty into the top corner. We'd already had about 6 corners by this stage, it was surprising we didn't add to the tally... Benny Read was getting lots of space out wide and we found some good positions, the ball just wouldn't roll for us in the final third, possibly our one complaint throughout this season is not getting that second and third goal often enough when we've been on top in the game? that seems strange from the leagues leading scorers!
The second half saw a disciplined performance from the defence and midfield, every blade of grass..... er actually every lump of mud covered with all 3 centre half's putting in a great shift. im not sure about the stats but i dont think they had a shot on target and Rossy in goal wasn't overly worked.
we really need to back it up against a decent Hampton side on Saturday now
COYH's!
