I spoke to Matt last night when he came to sign his contract. No mention of back problems, just a very positive, upbeat and enthusiastic perspective. In his own words he can't wait to get going and is looking for the opportunity to prove himself. He also rates Aaron Howe as the best keeper at our level and wanted a move to come out from his shadow. Matt has also appeared for England, although I'm not sure if it was a colleges or schoolboy team. Apparently Ollie Palmer was in the same squad.

Also, to keep the interest up, expect another new signing announcement toward the end of the week.

Just one little whinge. If we are going to have pictures of new signings in the press, could we please try and get them to wear one of our shirts? The fact Matt was wearing a Fulham shirt was, to my mind, cringeworthy to say the least.

Bare in mind we are only in June, and have an entirely new kit for the coming season. There just wasn't a new shirt to hand when this pic was taken.

Don't know what all the fuss is about personally.
