I also can't help but think this was always likely as soon as the new man came onto the board and witnessed a few games for himself.

Nothing against Shaun as Im sure most people dont have, but as a manager you are judged on results and to say they havent been good enough is an understatement. No way we should be 21st in this division
Hope he learns from his experience here and can one day become a successful manager, but more important right now is that we get the results to stay up. On to Truro on Saturday!!
The lessons learnt from the FA Cup run still live on... Westleigh Park has better paper towel dispensers than Anfield!!

Inevitable decision IMO. Gave us some very happy memories in his first season, but its been virtually downhil from there I'm afraid. Nothing personal against Shaun as a person, always friendly and approachable, but never kicked us on as a Manager. I wish him all the best for the future.

I think it's really sad it's come to this. I think it's a bit late IMHO. Should have realistically gone about Christmas. Whoever comes in has a difficult task. Gale gone, but is Johnson & Aymes still there? I think clean break needed. Bring in Lee Bradbury - first choice for me. I would also offer Galey a general manager post given he's been a loyal servant for past 10 years. I for one wish him luck with whatever he does. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take over from Bairdy when he gets sacked!!
Looking forward to next season and forgetting all about the dreadful season we've just experienced! Looking forward to seeing & welcoming: Matt Pegler, Sam Page, Ryan Moss, Ed Harris, Sahr Kabba, Clark Masters, Stefan Bailey & Tony Taggart.

Lol I'm struggling to take that post seriously Chas. Go after a manger who is highly unlikely to join, appoint the old manager to a position he won't want to take, and see him later on take a position at a club who will have no interest in signing him. :wtf:

I'm pleased the board have taken this action, it's too easy to say Mr Fallon has come in and the change is made. Gale got a vote of confidence recently, but it was hardly supportive and the club hasn't won since. I really believe he'd have gone anyway in this situation.

Who comes in now is a good question. Hopefully the new manager effect will see us claw some results together and get across the line. It gives us renewed optimism as fans that we can escape.
Come on you Hawks.

Sad to see him go, but the results were very much against him. Many thanks for your time after matches for the camera. I know how much he loved this club and i wish him all the best for the future.
