Lyall Beazely

Do not understand why Lyall has been dropped? Kept us in games all season long makes one mistake and is all of a sudden out of the team? Surely if your dropping players for mistakes no team in the world would keep the same 11 every week ! Lyall has been treated unfairly and should of been given a chance to rectify his ONLY mistake

Personally I reckon the poor sod deserves a rest from playing behind this defence for the past few months. :eh:
It's a bit like pulling a regiment back for a rest from the trenches of the Somme while there's still a regiment left to pull back.

sadly some younger readers might need to google "the battle of the Somme".
Christian Nanetti, he'll do for me; he's from Bologna, in Italy.
His left foot's so good it talks; Christian Nanetti plays for the Hawks!

I beleive he was carrying a bit of a knock
And who'd have thought that afterall ,that something as simple as Rock'n'Roll could save us all.

I think it's reasonable for Gale to want to know how Thomas performs with the team. We have no reserve or friendly games to give him a run out, so there isn't really any other way to do it. At our level you need two keepers, so why bring one in and not know if he's good, bad or indifferent? I'd want to know what I have. That's no slight on Lyall, he's been superb this season, but a game like Dartford which we knew we wouldn't win anyway (realistically) was a good chance to see the new guy. I think Gale would have done that if Lyall had missed that punch or not. Doesn't mean Lyall is suddenly a terrible keeper.

Think back to the start of last season, we had two good keepers and Gale switched between them quite a lot.

Oh come on Not a busy fan, you've never posted before then you are all of a sudden outraged at the dropping of a keeper that has shipped 30 goals in 10 games. Regardless of the collective blame for this defensive mess, I don't think it's unreasonable of the manager to give a new keeper a go to see how he reacts. ;)
never get out of the boat, absolutely god damned right, unless you were going all the way...
