Derek Pope - richest man in the World

He must be. How else can you explain even more money being given to Gale to squander.
Oh yes, good news - Gale is going to sign some more players to get us out of this mess - see todays News
Despite having hundreds come through the club over the past 5 years and over 30 this season all ready, the solution to our problem is 'we need more players'.
Not any old players though, no we need 'experienced players'. So forgetting he has made it his personal mission to fall out with every previous experinece player we employed he now wants another go.
Don't forget that only a month ago we stretched the budget further to get three more in, none of which obviously filled the massive holes we have and have had all season - namely a proven goalscorer at this level and an experienced centre midfield player who can dictate play.
However experienced players quickly have a view and turn into wrigglers so look out for more of them appearing at WLP shortly.

I think the Board are now embarrassed that they have not sacked the manager. They have allowed all the easy games to pass us by and we are even further down the league. They thought it couldn't get worse, they thought there was no way we could go down. Now - panic. As Mark said - this is the worst team we have ever had. The only solution left they can see (as oppose to the blindingly obvious one) is to chuck even more money at it - rather like the season after the cup run.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry

What a surprise, someone thinks it's our fault for not backing the team.....

As anyone who'd seen a game recently knows, there's not a huge amount to back. Bewildering team selection, dire performances, hoof-and-hope football. And that's not just this season, that's consistently been the case for the majority of the past 3 seasons.

thanks for that insight Kazzer.

My problem with this is twofold to be honest.

firstly : will we get value for money ? any player who can make a difference is going to have a fairly high opinion of their worth and seeing as we're only after them to get us out of the mess the manager has created for himself will fancy a premium wage packet , also are we going to get the sort of player we actually need ?

secondly : how does the manager reckon he's going to actually sign "expirienced players" seeing as as Lammy beautifully put , he's managed to cheese off every player with any sort of reputation ?

Just to put a positive side to this post , at least it'll give Chas a chance to make a list :D

Oh OK, good. We're in relegation trouble, but at least everyone would be really, really sad if we did go down.

I mean it's not as if it's actually within anyone's power to do something about it......
