So, Gale spoke to the chairman about Peacock - shame the conversation wasn't about how Gale has consistently failed to deliver, but has blamed anyone/everyone else for his shortcomings.
Clearly we didn't see the best of Peacock - whether that is down to age/injury, poor management/tactics or because he failed to adjust to part-time football (or a bit of all three), we'll all have our views but it's a shame for him and the club.
Of course, it does mean that a very experienced ex-pro has left the club - someone who could perhaps have taken over from Gale as player/manager to the end of the season - but that won't happen now. Opposition removed?
On a slightly different note, it'll be a real shame if Nathan goes. I think he has real potential and wish him well. I know he went on loan a while ago and we've made do with one keeper, but surely a serious football club at this level can't go with only one keeper? What happens if he's injured/sick/gets stuck in traffic? Dangerous & foolish
