Board Reboot

Postby rich » Tue Feb 17, 2009 3:32 pm

If you're seeing this message you've made it successfully to the new home of the Hawks message boards. While I'm still getting to grips with the backend, please don't break anything :D You will need to register to post, but should be able to see all boards as a guest. You will also, as before, need an email address to register as you'll be sent an activation code. I think that much is working, the rest I'm working out as I'm going.

Oooh ... isn't it big and empty and echoey in this shiny new place? Still, I'm sure the usual suspects will be here soon enough, spilling their beer/coke/coffee/other beverage of choice, dropping crumbs and generally making the place look lived in.

Ooooh, isn't this fancy. Looking forward to racking up another 1000+ posts of utter garbage.

Hi I'm here.

If I may pose the first question, why is it the exiles that are the first to post :?: Is there something more exciting going on for Hawkshire residents :?: well two questions then

In truth, the look of them is largely down to coincidence. The default colour scheme for this software is blue and white so it just about fits. However, plumbing it all in has taken all day so I'm pleased it's all working now.

I'm gutted about the post counts too Adam, and the fact this looks like a virgin setup when infact the site has had message boards since 2000 and this is the third incarnation. The outgoing ones I think did five years service pretty much exactly, it's been quite upsetting today seeing that history vanish while trying to port the old one over.
